What freebie do you want next…
Posted on June 21st, 2017 2 commentsHi folks,
I am thinking of new and interesting ways to contribute to the game dev community…I want to try some new stuff…and so I wanted to know what freebie you would like next…here are some ideas I have…
1) A book on User-generated/Data-generated Games
2) An open source project…to release code or some assets to benefit game developers…I’m open to suggestions here
3) Another free mentorship
4) Articles and tutorials on math in games
5) Some other idea or suggestion you have
Let me know…I was thinking about experimenting with an open source project related to games…or maybe even an open source game to share with players.
Anyways…place your vote or suggestion below 🙂

Another Free Game Dev Mentorship…
Posted on May 17th, 2017 1 commentHey folks,
I enjoyed the most recent game dev mentorship I offered…
and I’m going to offer another Game Dev mentorship that would last for 1 to 2 weeks. This is open to any individual or team…from high school student to senior citizen…working on a game or augmented reality experience.
During the mentorship, we would meet over Skype or e-mail daily to discuss the details, challenges, and ideas needed to get your game/augmented reality experience done.
Preference will be given to students.
I am open to all genres. My only request is that the main focus of the game be non-violent.
If no mentorship requests match the type of game I would like to help with, no game will be chosen.
If you or your team is interested, e-mail me at support at indiegamepod dot com…this offer is open until 11 pm pacific time, May 19th, 2017
To get a feel for how the mentorship would work, check out the podcast with some high school students that released their first game…that also got steam greenlit…with help from the mentorship… http://www.indiegamepod.com/?p=3330
Here is an interview with a first-time developer that also benefitted from the mentorship… http://www.indiegamepod.com/?p=3369
Feel free to post questions about the mentorship below 🙂

For indies looking to meet other fellow indies…it can be a good place…I’ve met some interesting indies myself at some of the parties at night.
What do you think…should this podcast cover the conference? Do you prefer the long-form interviews…or the conference interviews we’ve done on the show…
