Corona Game Jam Finalists Announced…
Posted on April 25th, 2011 5 commentsHey folks,
Thanks for all the submissions. We received 4 submissions…I tried to test them out…but none of the apks worked on my emulator!
Thanks to Ansca Mobile, I have 3 indie licenses + 1 pro license left to give away.
So…the folks that submitted will get at least an indie license…but if you want a shot at the pro license…I need to see a working .apk …or a video of the game by Tuesday at 8 pm PST.
Here are the finalists…
1) Jeremiah
2) Eduardo
3) Joseph (Gravity Bounce)
4) AapoIf you want to try for the PRO version of Corona, send a video by tomorrow…or a working apk (should be built for Android 2.2)…
For the other finalists that are fine with an indie license…send an e-mail to support with the e-mail address associated with your Corona account and whether you want the iPhone or Android indie license. I need to pass the info onto Corona so they can activate your subscription.
You have until Tuesday, 8 pm PST to do this.
Thanks again to everyone that participated 🙂

Awesome! Thanks!
I’ve sent support my submission for a chance at the PRO license.
Are you testing the .apk files on the simulator or on a real device? I don’t think they work on the simulator. Also, I assume everyone is probably using a trial version, so that may also be a reason you aren’t able to test them on the device.

Eduardo, I had the same concerns, but I was able to run my game on a friends nexus one. It pops up a Corona message when the game starts, but it still works.
My submission is at:
http://nerdnightgames.com/StuffJumper.apkI’m still going to try to put together a video, in case IGP still can’t get it to work.

I have a video up at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZfzrQdC423Y
Youtube is telling me that the video is being processed, hopefully that will complete soon.

Apologies, I found an issue with the video, couldn’t figure out how to upload a new one without deleting the old one. The new one is at:

Yeah, it does work on a device, but not the simulator. I’ve only tested one device.
I already emailed my video, but i’ll go ahead and share it:
